Plumber feels bump in water, sees tiny foot float to surface. That’s when he starts pulling

Angelo Mondragon was just planning on spending a relaxing day at the lake with his family. He had no idea that by the end of the day he would have saved a little girl’s life and thousands would be hailing him a hero.

Angelo, a plumber from Fort Collins, Colorado, was spending the weekend at Windsor Lake with his family. He waded out into the water and was about waist deep when he felt something bump against his leg.

Startled, he kicked at whatever it was, and that’s when he saw something the left him cold – a tiny foot had floated up to the surface of the water.

“It felt like something you normally wouldn’t feel in the water,” he recalled. “I did sort of a back kick to bring up whatever it was, and then I saw the bottom of a baby’s foot float up.”

Immediately he grabbed the foot and pulled the toddler – a little girl – out of the water while he screamed for her family and for someone to call 9-1-1.

“I grabbed her and carried her limp body to the shore,” he said. “The girl was already blue. She wasn’t breathing.”

Angelo began to perform CPR on the little girl and two off-duty nurses rushed to help as they waited for emergency crews to arrive.

The little girl, 3-year-old Sitlali Hernandez, was rushed to the children’s hospital in Aurora. Miraculously, doctors were able to save her.

Angelo was able to visit Sitlali and her grateful parents in the hospital and was happy to see the little girl in good condition. He said he is thankful he was in the right place at the right time.

“If I was not in that right spot at the right time, it could have been a search and rescue mission,” Mondragon said.

Since Sitlali’s near-drowning, Angelo has made it his mission to ensure something like this never happens again.

The CDC reports that “from 2005-2014, there were an average of 3,536 fatal unintentional drownings (non-boating related) annually in the United States.” That comes out to about 10 deaths every day.

One in five of those deaths are children 14 years old and younger, and for every child who dies from drowning, another five receive emergency care for injuries related to near-drowning.

Angelo knows that if Sitlali had been wearing a life vest that day, the situation could have been much different, so now he is working with local residents and businesses to collect life vests for those who don’t have them or can’t afford to buy them.

While a life vest is not a substitute for a parent or guardian’s supervision, accidents do happen, and it could mean the difference between life and death.

Many people have been hailing Angelo a hero for what he did that day, but the humble man says he just did what he hopes anyone else would do.

“As I told the little girl’s mom,” he said, “when I saw the baby’s toes that became my baby.”

Do you agree that Angelo is a hero? So share this!

A bride broke up with her fiancé and called off her wedding because her guests wouldn’t pay for it

On a scale of 0 to 10 in terms of being outrageously ridiculous, this story breaks the scale at 100. This wedding tale goes beyond your typical self-centered bridezilla and ventures into Psycholand. You’ve been warned.

A shocked Twitter user who goes by the handle @0lspicykeychain shared screenshots of a profanity-filled rant from a former bride-to-be. They were posted to a Facebook group that shames weddings, and boy does it qualify as shameful.

It starts off with the woman announcing her wedding is canceled and that she and her fiancé have split, but decided to co-parent their son. Then there’s a second announcement that she is also quitting Facebook and going backpacking in South America.

Why? It is all the fault of her family and friends! The post’s writer – later identified as a woman named Susan – wrote that she and her ex first met when they were 14 years old and have been together ever since. They went to community college together, had a child, and eventually finished their degrees.

As the icing on their love story cake, they dreamed of having a fairy tale wedding and managed to save $15,000. But dear readers, that was not nearly enough, because after checking out venues AND consulting a psychic, they realized that the wedding they really wanted would cost $60,000.

And Susan decided her friends, family, and guests should foot the bill by donating $1,500 apiece:

“I SPECIFICALLY, I mean SPECIFICALLY asked for cash gifts. How could we have OUR wedding that WE dream of without proper funding? We’d sacrificed so much and only asked each guest for around $1,500. My maid of honor (who shall not be named) pledged $5,000 along with her planning services. . .

Like, we made it CLEAR. If you couldn’t contribute, you weren’t invited to our exclusive wedding. It’s a once and a lifetime party.”

Already filled with fury, she went on to complain that only eight people RSVP’d and then her maid of honor and the groom’s family reneged their financial offers.

So, she did what any reasonable person would do and RESENT the invites to beg for money again – and then set up a GoFundMe page as a backup. It failed too, only raking in $250.

According to her, asking for $1,500 or $1,000 is quite reasonable because it’s a negligible amount. Yup. A chat with the maid of honor/BFF resulted in the friendship dying when said friend suggested she stay within her original budget.

Once the groom suggested they do a cheaper wedding in Las Vegas, she was offended again.

“He wanted those cheap, raggedy, filthy, whore like Vegas weddings. Am I some Hooch piece of f—ing trash, a hooker?”

“My ex left the room and didn’t apologize for his horrid suggestion.”

There is a page missing from the rant that cuts off what happened after the ex-groom called her a stuck-up b word. We can speculate that the relationship ended right after that. To read the whole chaotic tantrum, click here.

This is how it ends, but because we love you, we edited some of the more colorful language:

Since the tirade was first posted a few days ago, a cousin of the angry woman has come forward on Reddit/Imgur to verify the post. This person stated that the woman became obsessed with the Kardashians a few years ago and that it contributed to her entitled, delusional behavior about materialism.

It is a good thing no one in the general public knows who she is, because she’s officially become the most hated person on the internet. We can only imagine what it will be like if she ever gets to walk down her $60,000 aisle.

Did you already know about this viral story? What is your reaction? Do you know anyone who’s had similar nerve? Do tell!

After 40-hours labor, mother delivers another unexpected baby

When Nicole Ziesemer found out she was pregnant, she was excited because their little world was about to change.

Even though Matthew Ziesemer was handed a shirt saying “World’s Greatest Father,” the couple had any idea that Nicole’s delivery could transform their lives.

Like many other couples, the Ziesemer family went overdue. They wanted a natural delivery and they didn’t feel the urge for an ultrasound.

They arranged a safe delivery at their home, under the special care of a midwife, and the estimated date for the arrival of the baby was January 30.

Despite the improved medical services and technological innovations, childbirth is a complicated biological process, which can never be smooth and pre-planned.

On December 29, almost a month ahead of her due date, Nicole’s water broke at 12:30 am.

As Nicole was less than 36 weeks pregnant at that time, her husband decided to skip the home plan and take her to the Spectrum Health Gerber Memorial Hospital.

The driveway of the couple’s home was snow-capped, so Matthew had to snowplow the driveway, before leaving. They managed to reach hospital around four on Friday morning, and Nicole’s contractions went on until Saturday.

Matthew wrote on Facebook: “We have another check at 11 AM and she was still at 7cm, and for the first time in my wife I saw the look of giving up in my wife’s eyes, and it killed me.”

He further added: “After watching her suffer for the last 30 hours pushing and breathing and screaming I knew we had to do something else, so I consulted several people and Nicole, and we decided to start a small dose of Pitocin; well this really got contractions going and got her dilated to a 10. ”

After 40 hours of constant struggle, Nicole was given Epidural anesthesia, and finally, Blakeley Faith Ziesemer came to the world at 10:06 p.m. on December 30. But, before Dr. Megan Forshee could help Nicole with the placenta delivery, she felt another tiny head inside.

Cade Matthew Ziesemer, a healthy baby of 5 pounds was discovered on Dec. 30 at 11:05 p.m.

The second baby came as a surprise and boon for the couple as well as the doctor, who was utterly clueless about its existence. The happy parents thereafter shared their shocking and ecstatic news with the family.

On his Facebook page, Matthew expressed his gratitude for God: “So even though I’m more of a natural person, things happen for reasons and there are times for medical intervention, and this was one of those times.

God definitely has a greater plan for us and showed us that we don’t control anything in our lives.”

20-Year-old boy who won the $451 million lottery already have plans for the money

Gambling has become a norm in our today’s community. Today everybody is dreaming of one day becoming the next millionaires. We even went ahead to plan on how to spend this money even before winning on the play.

One in time, my family frequently talked about owning an arts center. They wanted it to be designed specifically for dancers, teams of technical staff and their coach. But this was just a dream.

Now that I am grown up; I have little feeling for arts thus I do not see the future in the arts center dream. Today my goal is to own an animal sanctuary to help the less fortunate animals. All the sad faces of live puppies on the internet will possibly now fit in my dream sanctuary since not all can fit in my house.

These have been dreams in people’s minds. But as from January 12th, this year, a 20–year-old boy no longer dreams but have his fortunes at hands. Shane Missler, 20, from Port Richey Florida emerged a jackpot winner. He purchased and a ticket that alters claimed him $451 million jackpot. The card was a scratch-off ticket and was sold to him on 5th of January 2017.

This is not just a small money. It’s something that has gone into the history books as it is the fourth largest jackpot ever won in the world.

The lottery company based in Pasco County and named as SevenEleven. But Missler unlike others, he already has plans for this money.

He admitted that he just 20 years old but that doesn’t make to pursue his passions. He admitted that he would use the money to pursue his passions and as well help his family. He continued that he has also to do good to humanity with part of the money.

When he went to Tallahassee to redeem his ticket, he was in accompany by his father and his attorney. The attorney in did say that Missler had just resigned from his work to take care of his family.

He was working with a background screening company. Apart from his family commitments, Missler also wanted some good time to stay grounded before he can start to utilize his lifer time luck.

He admitted that despite his age, he had been one of the most fortunate guys of the week. He has been in the news for his luck. He said that this is all he owns now and he needed to manage it well.

“I purpose to take care of my family …” he stated. He also intend s to have some fun on his way, but above all, he wants to ground himself a financial success from his fortune. He promised to leave a legacy from his small trials that have made him get this far.

In life, people have to follow their dreams. Missler said that he is one guy who has the passion for pursuing ideas and he will urge other people to follow their dreams too.

He said,”…I am only 20, and my journey has just begun.” Meaning he still has a lot to do, and since he can’t do everything on the planet, he will only follow his dreams.

He made up his mind to take a lump sum of $281,874,999 instead of lifetime payments. This was just part of the $451 million in Texas.

As promised, taking care of his family may include some issues. Just imagine paying all his family mortgages, one-time clearance of student loans, and even other debts. He can also decide to purchase a brand new car and a home at the same time. What an excellent luck for Missler.

He said he knew he would do everything to his family but reinstated that he too must drive a new car and stay in a new home.

If you may want to know it all, the lucky numbers of the lottery were as follows: 28,30,39,59 and 70, and the mega ball was just 10!

Women who stay single for long periods of time are the happiest

Some women are not familiar with being a girlfriend. Others have been single their whole life. Sometimes an ex-boyfriend will have abandoned them, resulting in no serious relationships afterward. At times relationships can be overwhelming and some women just need a break from the chaos.

Here are why women who are single for extended periods of time are the happiest.

Single women are the happiest because their level of comfort and acceptance of themselves is high. It doesn’t bother them to spend the night by themselves.

The feelings of loneliness do not present themselves when there’s no one around. These women are able to go on a shopping trip and even eat out at a restaurant without feelings of awkwardness surfacing as a result of having no one to accompany them.

Women who are single for long periods of time love spending time alone and going on dates with themselves. While being alone, these women are able to place all of their focus on themselves and accomplishing their goals.

As a result, these single women are happy. Going for what they want in life along with the things that are important to them are easy tasks.

They tackle the world head-on with passion and promise.
For these women, finding their true love isn’t the most important thing in their lives. They find happiness when living a life full of purpose. Their happiness isn’t found when they have found their boyfriend.

Chasing guys is not on their list of things to do. Instead, they follow the path that will lead them to making their dreams come true and obtaining the future they know and see themselves to have.

When women are single for long periods of time, they get familiar with the lifestyle and enjoy the journey. Never having a relationship that leads to marriage is not something that will scare them. They fully enjoy living their life alone and draw inspiration from the silence that surrounds them.

When the day comes for them to meet someone that they could potentially have a relationship with, that person must challenge and push them forward in life.

This person must not be someone that is stagnant in life. Daily encouragement to live to the fullest is what should come from him. It is imperative for her to find someone that will have her back and is able to live alongside her in happiness and appreciation for her success.

He is attracted to her resilience and unwillingness to minimize herself or her life plans to please him.

These women are the very essence of strength and finding love does not cause them to lose themselves and forget who they are as individuals. They will allow the light of their dreams, morals and hopes to be equal to the light of their significant other.

As a result of finding someone that compliments who they are individually while simultaneously bringing more joy into their lives, they are the happiest.

She wants someone that loves her and compliments her strength to a level higher than it already is. What makes her happy is finding someone that is complete with or without her in his life. This kind of relationship is priceless and worth waiting for.

Are you a single woman that can relate to this outlook on life and relationships? Let us know in the comments!

Chimp about to be released into wild but her final act toward rescuer is heart-wrenching

Whether you’re an animal lover or not, the video below is sure to tug at your heartstrings. Millions of people have already shared the emotional video, and despite being from 2013, the footage never gets tiring to watch.

Watch cameras capture an intimate moment between a woman and her chimp as the chimp gives her one final goodbye before being released into the wild forever. Famed scientist Jane Goodall is a true hero in the animal world.

A huge advocate for our four-legged friends, Jane has certainly made her mark in the world of animal rehabilitation and education. One of her greatest life missions?

To rehabilitate sick chimpanzees and prepare them for a second chance in the wild. The Jane Goodall Institute in Congo is one of the main places her vision is brought to life.

When Wounda the chimp showed up at Jane’s rescue and received expert care at Tchimpounga, Jane and her staff had their work cut out for them. Frail and ill, Wounda wouldn’t have been able to survive much longer in the wild.

In fact, the sweet chimp was relocated to Tchindzoulou Island, one of three islands that are part of the expanded sanctuary. There, she received life-saving care and just as important–love and affection.

Luckily, thanks to the care and attention given to the animals at the rescue, Wounda was able to fully regain her strength and health. It was finally time to be released into the wild for a second chance at life.

The moment Wounda says goodbye to Jane for the last time is truly tear-jerking. Jane was an absolute blessing to these creatures and Wounda loved her deeply.

In fact, Jane speaks directly to the camera person, crediting her coworkers for saving Wounda’s life. She noted that if the chimpanzee had not been given the care and love she had, she would not have survived.

Others gathered around Wounda as she is released from her crate. Her affection for the humans who rescued her is evident before she begins a new life journey.

Watch as the gate is lifted from her cage for the final time, and see her final act with Jane in the emotional video below.

The mystery of a blonde baby haunted this family for decades – Until they finally met the ghost of their past face to face

The six Berry children grew up in Fort Ord, California, as the children of a homemaker and a military man. One day, they learned of their father’s secret past.

When their mother, Dorothy, was pregnant with her daughter, Donna, a stranger appeared at their door. The stranger was a tall and beautiful woman who was carrying along an 18-month old, blonde, little girl who they had never seen.

The woman was there to confront their father and Dorothy’s husband, Cecil. She needed Cecil’s help with their child, the young girl, whom she had conceived while they were both serving during the war, long before Cecil met and fell in love with Dorothy.

The woman’s name was Lillian Stewart, and she made sure Dorothy knew that she didn’t want anything from Cecil or her. However, she soon asked the family to care for the small child while she traveled all the way to San Francisco to look for work.

Dorothy couldn’t say no and turn the child away, even though they had never met the child. So, while she was pregnant with Cecil’s child, Dorothy took care of his and Lillian’s baby, whom they nicknamed Sandi.

Lillian eventually came back again to take back her daughter, and the couple never saw the little girl again. Sandi was assimilated into the Berry household in 1947 for a period of time, but none of the siblings recall how long she stayed.

Years passed and as the children grew up, they recalled their mother telling them stories about the adorable baby.

Sister Sue Berry told USA TODAY, “Over the years, we’d heard about this beautiful blonde baby that was just a precious human being, but we didn’t know where she was. I’d look in magazines, look at people and see a red-headed adorable lady or a pretty girl like us and I’d (think), that must be our sister.”

Saundra “Sandi” Wannemacher, 70, had been told the same story as the Berry kids had about her being left with the family so her mom could leave and find a job.

Sandi grew up believing she was an only child, but after an online search was conducted about her father’s family, she discovered she wasn’t. In fact, she had six other siblings! The Berry children had been looking for their long lost half-sister, too, and as fate would have it, their paths finally crossed.

After communicating with each other by phone, email and text, the siblings decided it was finally time to come face-to-face for a meeting that was nothing less than heartwarming! Finally, their family felt “whole.”

What do you think about these siblings being reunited after all of these years? Show this inspiring story to your friends to bring a smile to their faces!

Gymnast who went viral for her Michael Jackson moves scored a perfect 10 for this new routine

If you follow gymnastics, you may have heard of Katelyn Ohashi. She was on the USA Gymnastics’ junior national team for four years.

Back in 2013, she even beat team member Simone Biles to win the American Cup. While Biles went on to become a four-time Olympic champion, Ohashi stepped away from her Olympic dreams.

In a video for the Players Tribune, Ohashi talks about how she “was broken” – literally. She went from a happy little girl who loved gymnastics to a girl who felt pressure, stress and rarely smiled.

She couldn’t even eat a meal without obsessively exercising afterwards. What’s even worse is that she was competing with a fractured back and two torn shoulders.

Ohashi decided to step away from elite gymnastics with the hope of healing and being able to compete in college. She found just that at UCLA where her floor routines are not to be missed.

She competed using a stunning Michael Jackson medley for her music last season, and her flawless routine seemed impossible to beat, but during her floor routine on January 12th, she outdid herself.

While her new routine is packed with insanely difficult moves and an ending that everyone’s talking about, what’s just as notable is the huge smile on her face. Ohashi seems to truly be finding joy in her sport again.

UCLA Athletics
Her teammates can be heard cheering for her from the sidelines. Instead of facing harsh criticism for every move she makes like in her elite gymnastics days, Ohashi’s extreme talent is now rightly met with praise and awe.

Since UCLA Gymnastics originally tweeted the video of Ohashi’s floor routine on January 12th, 2019, it has been retweeted 102,000 time and viewed 20.3 million times.

One commenter writes, “The power drop into the splits bounce up at the end is mind bending. The power moves in modern floor routines are ridiculous. Awesome + sauce.”

Another person adds, “The amount of fun @katelyn_ohashi appears to be having and how relaxed she looks is what it’s all about. Phenomenal, so much fun to watch this team compete.”

Watch her stunning floor routine, which earned her a perfect 10, below and see what all the fuss is about.

7-Year-old boy is branded a ‘monster’ before dad teaches his bullies a lesson with facebook post

Jackson Bezzant, 7, was eating his breakfast at school when three older boys approached him and began taunting and teasing him. They called him names like “monster” and “ugly” as Jackson sat there, helpless.

Thankfully, a teacher’s aide took notice of the situation and stopped the cruel bullying before it escalated any further.

But the story was enough to bring his worried dad, Dan, to tears.

You see, Jackson was born with Treacher Collins syndrome, a rare condition that affects the development of bones and facial tissues. Jackson is nearly deaf and has already undergone one surgery to rebuild his eye socket.

Because of his appearance, Dan has witnessed his kindhearted son become the victim of bullying — at the hands of people of all ages.

“One time, a woman walked past us, and we could hear her say, ‘Did you see that little boy’s face?’” he recounts.

After hearing what happened to Jackson at school, Dan decided to take a stand. But he never expected his Facebook post would create such a reaction like this.

Scroll down to see why Dan’s post is going viral…

This is Jackson Bezzant, and he’s about to turn 8 years old.

Jackson was born with Treacher Collins syndrome, a rare condition that causes improper development of bones and facial tissues. His hearing and vision are severely impaired, and he relies on hearing aids.

The first-grader from Rigby, Idaho, will have to undergo many procedures throughout his life.

Recently, Jackson’ father, Dan, received news that left him heartbroken to the point of tears.

One morning at school, Jackson was eating in the cafeteria when several older boys started bullying him. They called him “monster” among other horrible names.

Unfortunately, things like this happen a lot, and it’s often adults who can be the most cruel.

“One time a woman walked past us, and we could hear her say, ‘Did you see that little boy’s face?’ If she’s saying things like that, what are her children saying?” Dan recalls.

Dan decided enough was enough. He took to Facebook after the incident at school with a powerful and frightening public post:

My heart is in pieces right now and my soul feels like its ripping from my chest and this beautiful young man my son Jackson has to endure a constant barrage of derogatory comments and ignorance like Ive never witnessed. He is called ugly and freak and monster on a daily basis by his peers at school. He talks about suicide and he’s not quite 8!

He says he has no friends and everyone hates him. Kids throw rocks at him and push him shouting these horrific words and please please take a minute and imagine if this were your child.

Take a minute to educate your children about special needs. Talk to them about compassion and love for our fellow man. His condition is called Treacher Collins. Maybe even look it up. He’s endured horrific surgery and has several more in the coming years.

Anyway, I could go on … but please educate your children.

Please share this. This shouldn’t be happening and to anyone.

Dan never expected his Facebook post to spread like wildfire, but that’s exactly what happened.

Now, other kids at Jackson’s school are reaching out to him and his family, wanting to befriend and protect him.

But Dan wants readers to know he doesn’t blame Jackson’s teachers or the school. Instead, he says the responsibility of other parents is to teach their children about kindness and acceptance.

“I want parents to see my post and feel my heartbreak,” he says. “Please educate your children and let them know that bullying is not OK.”

Dan says his Facebook post has also connected him and Jackson to two other kids in their area also living with Treacher Collins syndrome… and they’re all planning to meet for a playdate!

Dan set up a PO box for those who’d like to send Jackson cards of well wishes… and it’s already filling up.

Bravo to Dan for speaking up against the bullying epidemic. Please SHARE his and Jackson’s inspiring and powerful story with your friends on Facebook.

Pregnant doctor in patient gown pauses her own labor to deliver another woman’s baby in distress

Dr. Amanda Hess is an obstetrician-gynecologist from Frankfort, Kentucky. She recently checked into the Frankfort Regional Medical Center, but not as a doctor.

Amanda was going into labor and settling into her delivery room. But the obstetrician soon learned another pregnant woman needed help.

Amanda’s husband looked at her and said, ‘Is that a woman screaming?!’”

Indeed it was.

Leah Halliday Johnson’s baby was coming faster than expected. Her doctor was coming back from a break, but the pain was getting worse.

Realizing Leah was in distress down the hall, the expecting doctor sprung into action and took matters into her own hands.

Amanda quickly threw on another gown to cover her backside and a pair of boots over her shoes, and hurried to Leah’s room.

But here’s the kicker: Amanda was completely dilated. And while Leah’s husband found it strange that Amanda was wearing a hospital gown, Leah had no idea her heroic doctor was also moments away from having a baby.

Incredibly, Amanda delivered Leah’s baby. But there was still one more newborn she needed to deliver.
