Passer-by Keli Keningau Prayitno, 28 years old, tried to adopt the cat but that didn’t work – the next day the feline returned her owner’s grave as usual – nuzzling the small blue headstone. Remarkably, the cat walks every day to her former home where the old lady’s children feed her – then returns to the grave. Despite being given food and water by passers-by, but the cat refuses to leave the grave to roll in the earth and sleep at the grave every night.

Amanda and her husband of Sydney, Australia saved to buy their dream house. The couple spent two years renovating this dwelling to make it the perfect home. They tried to get pregnant for three years. Amanda had miscarriage after miscarriage; until one day she was pregnant and all was going well. In an instant though, everything changed. Amanda’s world came crashing down in one horrifying moment.

Her husband left her for another woman. He saddled her with a massive debt. They put their entire savings toward their house. Amanda was 8-months pregnant with a child they struggled for so long to conceive.

With no income, debt and a baby on the way, a heartbroken Amanda was left at a loss. What would happen to her and her child? Thank God for friends like Anna. She stood by her distraught pal’s side through thick and thin. Anna wasn’t going to leave Amanda’s side now either. She had an unorthodox idea for how to help her.

She reached out to local radio station, KIIS. She asked them to consider featuring Amanda for their Give Back segment.

The radio station knew they needed to help Amanda, but they couldn’t do it alone. They turned to local businesses for donations of services and items. Both Amanda and Anna were invited to the station to participate in the segment. Amanda didn’t know what was in store. She explained to the hosts and audience the worst part of her situation was the uncertainty of it all.


After she finished telling her story, the radio hostess moved aside to reveal a television screen of Amanda’s new house. The cameraman went on a tour, highlighting many items that didn’t belong to her. The hostess pointed out everything Amanda would receive.

A vacuum cleaner symbolized the six months of free house cleaning someone donated; the refrigerator was from Eat Fit Food who would give and deliver meals to her for the next three months so she wouldn’t need to go grocery shopping. On the counter was $4,000 of baby supplies along with a $1,000 voucher for baby pictures.

But it was when the cameraman opened the oven when everyone lost it.

Inside was a stack of cash. $10,000 to be exact. This money was to help Amanda not worry about her mortgage for some time. What an incredible gift!

Coffee owner fed up with rude customers, sets up brilliant sign to teach them lesson and it’s going viral

A worker at a coffee shop was so fed up by the customers’ rude manners that he decided to place a board in front of the CUPS Coffee and Tea just as a subtle reminder for them to be more polite when ordering their coffee. It seems like less and less people nowadays use words such as please, and thank you, and that speaks volumes of how we become more and more estranged from one another.

The board reads:

“One small coffee”
“One small coffee, please”
“Hello, I’d like one small coffee please.”

When they realize their coffee will cost less whenever they are kind and politely ask for it, they will start behaving nicely most of the time.

When we enter a coffee place and order our morning shot, we are sometimes still sleepy and not willing to start the day so early that we forget there is a human being behind the counter who also had to be at their job pretty early, so we have to treat them with respect. That’s how we can make the world a better place for everyone.

Austin, the barista behind this unique idea told WDBJ7: “I decided, because I need to solve all the injustices of the world, to start charging more for people who didn’t take the time to say hello and connect and realize we’re all people behind the counter.”

His sign gathered the attention not only from the people who passed by it, but also from the Internet users. The story of it first appeared in a newspaper and then vent viral online. Many came to have their coffee at Austin’s shop just so see the board sign.

Strangers Approach Girl With Down Syndrome At Coffee Shop, Then Mom Notices Man Has Tears In His Eyes

Pamela De Almeida has a child with Down Syndrome. For some reason, people treat her differently because of her toddler’s condition. She’s not okay with the stares, the side conversations and the shifting gazes going from one child to another. This has been something she’s had to deal with. in fact, being treated differently by others has become part of her normality, unfortunately.

She was surprised by a couple’s reaction at a coffee shop one day. They didn’t respond as others had to her sweet baby girl. Pamela recounted the event on her blog, “Slice of Life.”

Her blog is: “Dedicated to capturing my perfectly imperfect life of raising two daughters; one who was born with Down Syndrome. This is my journey unscripted and unfiltered through journalistic photography and written thoughts.”

On this particular day, Pamela shows us her day: “I sat in Tim Horton’s with my daughter’s as I do often. Two ladies sitting near us started to stare and whisper. This is a pretty frequent occurrence for us you see; because my daughter Sophia was born with Down Syndrome. I sat there and watched these two women crane their necks to get a better look at her; completely oblivious to the fact that I was staring right back.

“Today it bothered me. It really bothered me.

“Just then, a couple approached me, and I thought, “Oh great! More people who want to take a closer look!

“The man greeted Sophia with a high five and a handshake, and Sophia smiled and waved back. He looked at me with tears in his eyes and said, “I have a story I would really like to share with you. But I am afraid I won’t get through it without choking up.” I gently encouraged him to share, because now I was curious. This interaction was not what I was expecting.

“He told me that he had watched the news last night. There was an interview with a mother who had recently given birth to a child with a major disability. She was on the news defending her decision to keep her baby. She was defending her choice NOT to terminate despite her doctors encouraging her to do so.

“He said, “The point is, you never know a person’s impact on the world. You can never know what a person is able to do unless you give them a chance.”

“He looked at me just before he turned to walk away and said, “You are a beautiful person. Your daughter is beautiful. Congratulations!”

“I immediately started to cry. There I sat in the middle of a coffee shop crying into a paper napkin. That man was the first complete stranger to ever congratulate me on the birth of my daughter Sophia. He was the first complete stranger to recognize her WORTH. Her VALUE. Her BEAUTY.

“In a world where my daughter’s life is whispered about, where she is stared at, this man saw her IMPORTANCE.

“What a wonderful reminder that every human being, no matter how small, has true worth and value. Let’s encourage ourselves and those around us to recognize everyone’s unique beauty every day.”

Yes, let’s not take for granted the pure beauty around us. Everyone is a gift, a treasure to be cherished and cared for.

Woman With Cancer Gets Married In Hospital. 18 Hrs Later New Husband Looks Over And Gasps

It was a day full of love, laughter, and tears.

Those words could describe thousands of weddings, but the marriage of Dave and Heather Mosher was anything but typical.

The couple met at a swing dancing class in 2015 and quickly fell in love. On December 23, 2016, Dave asked Heather to be his wife under a streetlight as they rode in a horse-drawn carriage.

But the happy news was quickly overshadowed. On the same day they got engaged, doctors told Heather a lump she had found on her breast was cancerous. Five days later they gave her the heartbreaking diagnosis: she had triple-negative breast cancer, an aggressive and faster-growing disease.

The couple had originally planned to get married on December 30, 2017, but as the cancer metastasized throughout Heather’s body, they knew they would need to move the wedding up.

On December 22, almost exactly one year after Dave proposed, he took Heather to be his wife as she lay in a hospital bed surrounded by family and friends.

“She was determined to marry her soul mate,” said one of Heather’s best friends and bridesmaids – and impromptu photographer – Christina Karas.

Heather’s body was in such a weakened state that they initially considered just draping her wedding dress over her, but they ended up being able to get it on her for the wedding in the hospital’s chapel.

Every word, breath, and movement was difficult for Heather and she labored for several minutes to deliver all of her wedding vows. Those poignant words ended up being her final ones.

“It was a miracle,” Christina said. “When she raised her arms, she was at death’s door, but she was joyful and exuberant. She just wanted it to be a celebration.”

“We were all in tears,” Christina added. “We all knew this was all the time left we were going to have with her and we wanted to cherish every second.”

For Dave, the day was shadowed by pain and heartbreak, but more than anything, it was full of love.

“She was gorgeous and she just felt like home to me,” he said.

“I saw her sick. I saw her in a lot of pain and she didn’t give up until she married me. It is so humbling that someone could love me like that.”

Just 18 hours after she said “I do,” Heather took her last breath and quietly passed away. She was 31.

On December 30, the day Dave and Heather had originally planned to get married, Heather’s funeral was held at Plantsville Congregational Church, where they had planned to hold their wedding. Dave delivered the eulogy and Christina also said some words about her dear friend.

“That was a really hard day,” Christina said. “The world lost an amazing person.”

Christina shared some of the photos she took at the couple’s wedding and they have since gone viral, touching hearts all over the world.

“This has been a heartbreaking time, but I’m glad this story has brought hope to so many people,” Christina said. “This person was in her last moments and still feeling all this joy.”

“How do I know God is real?” Christina wrote when she posted the photos. “Because He was filling her with joy despite the fact that outwardly her body was failing. She chose to let God carry her, instead of wasting her last hours angry at him for allowing this illness. And carry her he did. He carried her home.”

Olympic Skater ‘Irish Dances’ Across Ice, Brings Entire Stadium To Their Feet

When the Irish music and dancing show Riverdance premiered in 1995, it immediately caught the world’s fancy. I can remember standing in my living room watching the show on TV and trying to move my feet in the impossibly quick and precise way the dancers did.

Even today when I hear the music something stirs in my heart, and I don’t think I’m the only one who feels this way.

When 2015 U.S. national champion figure skater Jason Brown and his coach and choreographer were trying to come up with a new routine, Jason thought his team was crazy when they suggested he skate to “Reel Around The Sun” from the Riverdance show. But the decision would soon prove to be magic.

As soon as the music started, the audience was captivated, and as Jason skated and leaped across the ice, he continued to draw them in.

While the ice rink is a very different stage than the one the original Riverdancers performed on, Jason was able to perform his own version of the Irish dance, and it’s absolutely incredible to watch.

As Jason flawlessly skated through his routine, even the announcers couldn’t contain their excitement and awe! By the end, the entire stadium was on their feet.

His parents uploaded this adorable video of their son waking up from a nap – showing the gamut of human emotions in rapid sequence.

Oliver, or ‘The Orb’ as his parents describe him online, slowly wakes from his slumber and is confused, sleepy, happy, sad and upset, all in the space of one minute and two seconds.

Our favourite bit is around 40 seconds in, when Oliver wonders what on earth is going on as he looks directly into the camera with his beautiful wide eyes taking it all in.


83-yr-old woman writes letter to friend – the last line leaves me in tears. Everyone should read this

We probably live in the most upsetting and stressful period of human history.

It’s almost sad how we humans waste time and just chase things, the perfect moment, the best job.

Sometimes, it feels like we’re missing the journey itself, which is life.

And life isn’t always perfect — although it might seem like that watching your friends’ pictures on Facebook or Instagram.

Sometimes, it’s about being able to see the big things in the small and actually living in the present.

And sometimes, you have to realize your dreams, instead of just chasing them.

Which is why we’d like to share this letter from 83-year-old woman to her friend. We can’t verify whether it’s genuine or not, but the words go straight to the heart, especially the last line.

“Dear Bertha,

I’m reading more and dusting less.

I’m sitting in the yard and admiring the view without fussing about the weeds in the garden.

I’m spending more time with my family and friends and less time working.

Whenever possible, life should be a pattern of experiences to savor, not to endure.

I’m trying to recognize these moments now and cherish them.

I’m not ‘saving’ anything; we use our good china and crystal for every special event such as losing a pound, getting the sink unstopped, or the first Amaryllis blossom.

I wear my good blazer to the market. My theory is if I look prosperous, I can shell out $28.49 for one small bag of groceries.

I’m not saving my good perfume for special parties, but wearing it for clerks in the hardware store and tellers at the bank.

‘Someday’ and ‘one of these days’ are losing their grip on my vocabulary. If it’s worth seeing or hearing or doing, I want to see and hear and do it now.

I’m not sure what others would’ve done had they known they wouldn’t be here for the tomorrow that we all take for granted. I think they would have called family members and a few close friends. They might have called a few former friends to apologize and mend fences for past squabbles. I like to think they would have gone out for a Chinese dinner or for whatever their favorite food was. I’m guessing; I’ll never know.

I’s those little things left undone that would make me angry if I knew my hours were limited. Angry because I hadn’t written certain letters that I intended to write one of these days. Angry and sorry, that I didn’t tell my husband and parents often enough how much I truly love them.

I’m trying very hard not to put off, hold back, or save anything that would add laughter and luster to our lives.

And every morning when I open my eyes, I tell myself that it is special. Every day, every minute, every breath truly is a gift.

Life may not be the party we hoped for, but while we are here we might as well dance.”

At the funeral of her husband, however, she figured out a way of keeping her integrity while granting his wish, and the idea is nothing short of brilliant…

“There was a man who had worked all of his life and has saved all of his money.

He was a real cheapskate when it came to his money. He loved money more than just about anything, and just before he died, he said to his wife, ‘Now listen, when I die I want you to take all my money and place it in the casket with me. Because I want to take all my money to the after life.’

Autistic boy fails his school exams – teacher sends him home with powerful letter that goes viral

Raising a child with learning difficulties isn’t any less rewarding than raising one without them, but it can be said that it’s a great deal tougher.

Whilst parents of children without learning difficulties undoubtedly fret over all the usual things a mother or father does, those parents whose children are born with conditions such as autism have all those concerns and more.

What’s more, in addition to the worries of the parents, the children themselves can sometimes struggle in high-pressure social environments. There is no better example of this than school, where grades play a major role in your progress.

11-year-old Ben Twist lives with autism, and his mom Gail was handed a huge surprise when her son’s school sent a letter home after he failed his SAT tests …

When Gail received a letter from Ben’s school, she would have been forgiven for expecting it to say something about how he needed to work harder or improve his grades. Instead, the letter contained nothing of the sort.

The innovative thinkers at Lansbury Bridge School and Sports College, in St. Helens, Merseyside instead gave Ben a boost of confidence. Despite the fact he’d failed his SAT tests, his teacher recognized that what he needed was support, not condemnation.

Mrs. Clarkson sent him home with a touching letter that let him know just how skilled he is, and what exactly he brings to the table.

The letter reads:

“Dear Ben,

I am writing you to congratulate you on your attitude and success in completing your end of key stage SATs.

Gil, Lynn, Angela, Steph and Anne have worked so well with you this year and you have made some fabulous progress.

I have written to you and your parents to tell you the results of the tests.

A very important piece of information I want you to understand is that these tests only measure a little bit of you and your abilities. They are important and you have done so well, but Ben Twist is made up of many other skills and talents that we at Lansbury Bridge see and measure in other ways.”

Upon reading the letter, Ben’s mom Gail found herself tearing up.

Mrs. Clarkson’s letter went on to list the things Ben was good at, things that a usual school test can’t measure.

“Other talents you have that these tests do not measure include: -Your artistic talents, your ability to work in a team, your growing independence, your kindness, your ability to express your opinion, your abilities in sports, your ability to make and keep friends, your ability to discuss and evaluate your own progress, your design and building talents, and your musical ability.

We are so pleased that all of these different talents and abilities make you the special person you are and these are all of the things we measure to reassure us that you are always making progress and continuing to develop as a lovely, bright young man.

Well done Ben, we are very proud of you.

The world needs more teacher’s like Mrs. Clarkson! It would have been all too easy for her to send a standard letter telling Ben’s mom that he needed to improve or change in some way. She didn’t though, because she realizes that judging a fish on its ability to climb a tree is as pointless as judging a monkey on its ability to swim in deep waters.

We hope that Ben takes his teacher’s words to heart and uses them to remember that his value should never be measured by the results of a school test.
